A survey of the public relations discipline, including the professional foundation of ethics, law, and theory as well as the process, audiences, and professional practice areas. Students learn this foundation, which prepares them to move on to more advanced professional practice courses in public relations; with this foundation, students should have a good understanding of the discipline, why it is important, and how to conduct basic public relations functions.
