Topics include legislative mandates, healthcare agencies’ requirements, and methods of assessing and improving the quality of care. Emphasizes the procedures utilized to monitor physician and professional staff reappointment and credentialing. Discusses integration of the research process to conduct performance monitoring, quality improvement, and risk assessment. Emphasizes using statistical analysis to inform decision making.
