This course is intended to serve as a comprehensive overview of the meetings, exhibitions, events, and conventions industry. Students will achieve a working knowledge of industry principles, practices, operations, and management needed to effectively plan meetings, exhibitions, events, and conventions with an emphasis on supply and demand

Use meetings and convention industry concepts to plan an event.
Assess the magnitude and impact of the meetings, expositions, events, and conventions industry (MEEC) in a global environment.
Categorize the main associations that support the professional development of those responsible for producing gatherings.
List the steps involved in planning an event from conception to post-meeting activities.
