Description This course is intended to serve as a comprehensive overview of the meetings, exhibitions, events, and conventions industry. Students will achieve a working knowledge of industry principles, practices, operations, and management needed to effectively plan meetings, exhibitions, events, and conventions with an emphasis on supply and demand
“Learning Outcomes”
- Use meetings and convention industry concepts to plan an event.
- Assess the magnitude and impact of the meetings, expositions, events, and conventions industry (MEEC) in a global environment.
- Categorize the main associations that support the professional development of those responsible for producing gatherings.
- List the steps involved in planning an event from conception to post-meeting activities.
