HFIN 300 - Healthcare Facility and Organizational Budgeting Credits: 3
Description This course is geared towards introducing the student to the concepts of a healthcare facility, and the financial management it entails. Healthcare facility components are presented to the student, along with budgeting tactics for the reach component. Budgeting financial tools are integrated with these components to teach the student how to effectively prepare and maintain annual budgets for health facilities and organizations.

- Define healthcare finance and identify the role of financial reporting, management, and budgeting in healthcare organizations.
- Identify types of healthcare organizations and describe various organizational structures.
- Define healthcare compliance, identify fraud and abuse laws, and differentiate between error and fraud in financial reporting.
- Describe financial, receivable, cash, and supply chain management activities in healthcare organizations.
- Identify and analyze components of financial statements.
